MONTHLY HIGHLIGHTS – SEPTEMBER

Okay, so I’m only slightly late with this one….

September wasn’t an awfully busy month for me so I struggled to find too much to post about!

1.

@Rub Nottingham

Now if you look online I’ve seen some mixed reviews about this place, but I have to say our experience was nothing but amazing. Three words: yorkshire, puddding, burrito. These were absolutely huge (but don’t worry, they’ll give you a box to take home what you can’t manage!) although we probably could have easily shared one between us. There’s so so many things on their menu we want to try now too so this could easily become a regular place for us!

2.

Appreciating living in such a lovely village.

This month the village had it’s annual “Apple Day” which is a bit like a village fete. There’s a lot of apple-based baking to test, grab a freshly pressed juice using fresh apples from the village orchard, and lots of other activities going on. My favourites were this amazing honey stall where I picked up some cinnamon honey (perfect for my morning porridge), and just realising what a wonderful place I live in which I’ll very much miss when we move into our new home next year.

3.

@Nottingham Climbing Centre

Climbing is something we haven’t been doing as much lately, so getting back into it has been hard, but so much fun!

4.

I’ve absolutely been loving going for walks on my own on a Sunday afternoon. I pop in my headphones, and escape for a little while. There’s something so peaceful about being by water, so it’s not surprising the canal has been a bit favourite.

and finally 5.

There isn’t a picture for this one, but a h-u-g-e highlight for me was joining the gym! I’ll probably do a separate post on that at some point, but it’s changed my routine completely and I feel so much better for it! I’ve been able to switch it up from dong just cardio to adding in weight training and I’m enjoying it so much more than I expected!
